Hi there! I’m an Assistant Director by day, independent filmmaker by night. Originally from San Diego, I relocated back to Northern California 8 years ago, after living and working in Los Angeles for over 8 years.
For the past 16 years, I have worked on a wide range of award winning television shows and movies as an Assistant Director and member of the Directors Guild of America. Some of the shows I’ve worked on include the Netflix series Thirteen Reason Why, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and the award winning shows Mad Men and True Blood.
I’ve worked in all aspects of production: creative, pre-production, scheduling and production. In studio and on location, I’ve worked closely with directors and producers, scouting locations, breaking down scripts, organizing shooting schedules, directing background actors, and offering support to the Director on set.
I graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Cinema and a BA in Broadcasting and Electronic Communication Arts. In 2004, I was accepted into the highly competitive Director’s Guild of America, Assistant Director Training Program and moved to Los Angeles from the Bay Area.
In addition to working on large “Hollywood” projects as an Assistant Director, in the last few years I’ve worked as a producer on the Discovery Channel Shows “I (Almost) Got Away with It” and “My Strange Criminal Addiction”. Each project I’ve produced has been completely different from the last, offering me a wide range of creative resources and problem solving skills.
I’m always looking for new projects to work on – in all capacities – that will challenge me while allowing me to grow.
I look forward to working with a new diverse group of people on short term and long term projects.
